Wednesday Chenrezig

Wednesday Chenrezig

7:00 pm - 8:00 pm — Chenrezig meditation with no instruction.

Meditation on Chenrezig, the embodiment of the Buddhas' compassion, is the central Vajrayana Buddhist practice supported by KCC.  Varjayana practices utilize visualization, recitation of mantra and other techniques to cultivate direct recognition of the innate purity of the mind and the qualities that manifest from this primordial purity.  Varjayana practices utilize visualization, recitation of mantra and other techniques to cultivate direct recognition of the innate purity of the mind and the qualities that manifest from this primordial purity. The Wednesday practice includes reciting a text in Tibetan, and no instruction is given. Lama Michael Conklin provides detailed instructions about the practice of Chenrezig on alternating first Sundays from 9:00 am to noon. Following a pot-luck lunch, there is a Q&A session from 1:30 to 2:45 pm, and then a last session of meditation which ends at 4:00 pm. These instructions happen on even-numbered months: February, April, June, August, October, and December. All are welcome to attend.
